Comments:
An announced initial monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/8/24. At the time of entrance, 1 household child and 2 childcare children were in care with the provider and assistant providers. The record sample size consisted of 1 child's record and the provider's record and the assistants records. The children in care were observed engaging with the provider, participating in educational activities and free play. No medications are being administered at this time. Areas of noncompliance are noted in the violation narrative and were discussed with the provider during the exit meeting at the conclusion of the inspection.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-760-A-1
Description: Based on observation and interview it was determined the provider did not ensure the first aid kit contained all of the required components.
Evidence:
1. The first aid kit did not contain triangular bandages.
2. Provider confirmed the first aid kit id not have triangular bandages during this inspection.

Plan of Correction: Triangular bandages were added to the first aid kit.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-790
Description: Based on observation and interview it was determined the provider did not have the required emergency telephone numbers posted in a visible area close to the telephone.
Evidence:
1. There were no emergency numbers posted close to the phone.
2. Provider confirmed that the emergency numbers were not posted during this inspection.

Plan of Correction: Provider posted all required emergency numbers by the telephone.

Standard #: 8VAC20-800-920
Description: Based on observation and interview it was determined the provider did not ensure that the one week menu was given to or posted in an area accessible to parents.
Evidence:
1. The menu was not posted or given to parents weekly.
2. Provider confirmed the menu was not posted during this inspection.

Plan of Correction: Provider will post the menu.
