An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed from 10:30 until noon. There were 25 children and 7 staff present. The director was also present.
The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 6 staff records and 5 children?s records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violation were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard #: 22.1-289.035-B-4 Description: Based on record review, the center did not have the required out of state background checks completed.
Evidence:
1. Staff # 5 had lived out of state in the last 5 years as indicated on the sworn statement, and did not have an up to date central registry check for that state.Plan of Correction: An out of state central registry check will be completed.
