Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 10:45 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Four children, ages 3 through 6 years old, were under the care and supervision of two teachers. Children were observed collecting eggs from the coop, playing outside, and engaging in different areas of the Montessori environment. The outdoor areas were also toured and inspected. Required information was posted. Both the fire inspection (9/25/17) and health inspection (9/18/17) are current. There are no medications for the children in the licensed program today. The last emergency escape drill was 4/19/18. The last shelter-in-place drill was 3/20/18. Two staff records and four children's records were reviewed and complete. For any questions about this inspection, please contact licensing inspector Marty Quade at (540) 272-5065 and Marty.Quade@dss.virginia.gov.
