Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:00 am - 11:15 am. There were 41 children in care being supervised by 7 staff members. The children were observed participating in circle time activities, structured center play, table top activities, and crafts. Lunch served today is chicken and rice, peas, pears, and milk. Ten children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Five staff records were reviewed and in compliance. The most recent emergency escape drill and shelter in place drill were conducted on 04/19/2018. The first aid kit, flashlight, and radio were reviewed and in compliance. There are reportedly no medications being administered to children enrolled in the program at this time. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B
Description: Based on observation of diapering in the infant room it was determined that not all procedures for diapering were followed. Evidence: 1. Staff A did not wash their hands immediately after changing a diaper. 2. Staff A failed to use a cleaning agent to clean the diaper surface after diapering.

Plan of Correction: Staff A will be retrained on diapering procedures.
