Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 6/4/18 from 12:00pm until 3:30pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of the tour, there were 41 children in care with 6 staff present. 5 school-aged children with 1 staff present arrived at the center during the inspection. A sample of 5 children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Children were observed eating lunch, resting quietly during nap time and engaging in free play. Restroom and hand washing procedures were also observed. Medication, transportation, the emergency preparedness plan, first aid and emergency supplies, children's injury reports and documentation of emergency practice drills were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
