A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 7/2/18 from 12:15pm until 3:55pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of the tour, there were 62 children in care with 8 staff present. A sample of 6 children's records and 6 staff records were reviewed. Children were observed resting quietly during nap time, eating snack and participating in afternoon activities. Infant diapering, hand washing and restroom procedures were also observed. Medication, transportation, documentation of emergency practice drills, first aid and emergency supplies and children's injury reports were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection are identified on the violation notice and were discussed with the vendor during the exit interview.

Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E-1 Description: Based on record review and interview, the vendor did not ensure that all staff have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the age of children in care. Evidence: 1. Staff #1's CPR certification expired on 2/20/18. 2. The center director confirmed that CPR certification for staff #1 is expired. Plan of Correction: The vendor will ensure staff #1 completes re-certification in CPR by 7/6/18.
