Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on July 9, 2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of inspection, 73 school age children were directly supervised by 13 staff and ratios were in compliance. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 13 staff records. Children were observed participating in group play, playing soccer and yoga, 3D printing and other activities. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in medication administration, CPR and First Aid, as well as daily health observation training. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
