Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, August 30, 2018. The on-site inspection was conducted from 10:00a.m. to 2:25p.m. At the time of arrival there were 56 children in eight classrooms and in the care of 12 staff members with four staff members available to assist if needed. The total enrollment for the program was 108 children. The records for six staff members were reviewed and six children's records were reviewed. Eight classrooms were toured and observations were made in three classrooms. Nine staff members and five children were interviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for three children. There were no violations of the licensing standards cited. Lunch was observed to meet the USDA guidelines and consisted of fish sticks, wheat bread, corn, apple slices, and milk. The current theme was Eric Carle. Some items observed and reviewed were: posted information, diaper ointments along with parent authorizations, injury reports, warm water temperature, updated fire inspection, first aid kit, updated emergency preparedness and injury prevention plans, documentation of emergency, shelter-in-place drills and lockdown drills, numerous art projects, infant care, infant feeding, diapering changing procedures, centers, hand washing and bathroom procedures, outdoor play, lunch, and nap time.
