The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced renewal inspection Friday, August 24, 2018 from 10:40am to 12:50pm . The children were observed playing with toys, reading books, and playing bingo with their teacher. The infants were observed playing on the floor with their teacher. A menu was posted,and today lunch consisted of turkey and swiss cheese sandwiches,peaches, peppers, and milk. All classrooms and the playground were inspected today. Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill:7/25/2018 Last shelter-in-place drill: 2/23/2018 Last fire inspection: 12/29/2017 Last health inspection: 10/13/2017 Total enrollment: 25 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Infants ?6:2 Toddlers ?4:1 Twos-7:1 Preschool?8:1 The violations from the previous inspections were checked for corrections. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E Description: Based on a review of documentation and staff interview on 08/24/2018, the center did not ensure that a record of the dates of the practice drills was maintained. EVIDENCE: 1. There wasn't any documentation of an evacuation drill being conducted in July 2018. 2. Staff #7 stated that a drill was conducted on July 25, 2018, however it wasn't written down. Plan of Correction: Corrected on site. The drill was written down on the log during the inspection.
