- Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance provided regarding completeing the Child Care Staff Preservice training.
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted between 9:00am & 12:30pm, there were 44 children with 8 direct care givers. Physical plant, staff and children records, medications and emergency procedures were reviewed along with the supplemental health and safety requirements. A licensing inspection was also conducted on the date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-B Description: Based on review of staff records, the center maintain complete records. Evidence: Staff # 1,2,3,4,and 5 do not have documentation of Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff. Plan of Correction: We are in the process of everyone completing their training.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E-1 Description: Based on staff record review and interview with director, not all staff are trained in CPR and first aid. Evidence: Staff #4 does not have documentation of training in CPR and first aid. Plan of Correction: I will sign her up to attend a CPR and first aid class this month.
