An announced record review inspection for PCCA Head Start- Stanleytown was completed on 09/20/2018. The inspector reviewed 3 staff record during the inspection today. The inspector reminded the Director of Human Resources of the September 30, 2018 deadline for obtaining fingerprints . Standard #: 63.2-1720.1-A Description: Based on record review, the facility failed to obtain a repeat criminal history record check report before three years since the date of the most recent criminal history record check. Evidence: The most recent criminal history record check for Staff #3 was dated 06/12/2015; Criminal record checks conducted by the VA State Police are valid for 3 years. The criminal record check conducted by the VA State Police was replaced with a national fingerprint search in January 2018. All repeat criminal record checks are now covered by the fingerprinting process. There was no record of the fingerprint eligibility letter in the record for Staff #3. Plan of Correction: Staff #3 will be instructed to complete a fingerprint check by September 30, 2018.
