Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on September 24, 2018 from approximately 10:15 AM to 1:30 PM to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The director was present for the inspection. The following staff to child ratios were observed: 2 year olds 2:4, Toddlers 1:5, Younger 3 years olds 1:3, Older 3 year olds 2:5, Younger 4 year olds 3:15, Older 4 year olds 2:15, Preschool 2:3. Staff were observed to be interacting with children appropriately. Children bring their own lunch from home. A snack is provided by the facility. All areas of the facility including classrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, hallways, buses and playground were inspected. The facility had the following posted: license, last inspection, evacuation maps/procedures, daily schedule, menu, and various parent information. Five children's records and five staff records were reviewed. Allergy postings and medications were reviewed. There were several staff present with medication administration training and daily health observation training. All staff present had current First Aid and CPR certifications. The first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Emergency response drills had been conducted as required. Health Inspection: 12/6/2017. Fire Inspection: 12/21/2017. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
