- Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector conducted an unannounced non-mandated focused monitoring inspection as a part of the issuance of a Provisional License. The inspection was conducted on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Areas of non-compliance were reviewed to determine compliance and correction. During this inspection, the center's owner and center's director were present and assisted the licensing inspector. Observations were made at the center, interviews were completed, and documentation was reviewed. Areas of non-compliance found during this focused inspection are listed on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-A-4 Description: Based on observation at the center, interview, and record review on 10/30/2018, the center did not ensure that the operational responsibilities of the licensee were maintained within the terms of the license. EVIDENCE: 1) The licensing inspector observed four children (10 months old, 16 months old, 18 months old, and 21 months old) in care in the Infant classroom on 10/30/2018. 2) During interview, a member of management confirmed Child #1 (28 months old), Child #2 (25 months old), and Child #3 (25 months old) were in attendance on 10/30/2018. The terms of the license stipulate that no more than five (5) children less than 2 1/2 years of age (i.e 30 months) may be present at any given time. Plan of Correction: Per the Owner: The owner will be working with the parents on suspending enrollment for children under 2 1/2 over the 5 allowed until they reach 2 1/2.
