Discussed record maintenance and storage, and licensing renewal process.
An unannounced mandated Monitoring inspection was completed today from 10:00am to 1:00pm. There were 43 children and 8 staff present during this inspection. Reviewed 3 staff files, 2 children's files, health and fire inspections, emergency evacuation drills, first aid kit, playground, and physical plant. Children were observed playing outside on the playground, reading books, engaging in a fine motor string activity, having lunch, and practicing their letters. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, 2 children's records were incomplete for emergency contact information. Evidence: Child#1 and Child#2 were missing the addresses of the 2 designated people to call in an emergency if a parent cannot be reached. Child#1 was missing 2 people's emergency contact addresses. Child#2 was missing 1 person's emergency contact address. Plan of Correction: I will have the parent fill in the information.
