63.2 Facilities & Programs.
An unannounced inspection was conducted at 830 today. There are 79 children enrolled but today there were 73 children present with staff. Classrooms were observed, inside space checked, and the outside was not observed due to the weather. Records, attendance, annual inspections, special care provisions, and updated records were checked. Discussed the injury report and annual updates. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on review of children's records, the program did not obtain a plan of action for child #2. Evidence: 1. Child #2's file listed a food allergy. The plan of action was to avoid the allergen. Plan of Correction: We will request a plan of action in the event of contact with the food allergy.
Standard #: 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-3 Description: Based on record review and staff interviews, the center did not obtain out of state CPS searches for 2 staff within 30 days of employment. Evidence: 1. Staff #2 and #3 began working in the program at the end of August. Both staff have Virginia CPS searches and finger print results but both staff have lived out side of Virginia in the last 5 years. Both staff records do not include CPS checks from these states. 2. Staff stated they did not realize this was a requirement. Plan of Correction: We will work on obtaining the clearances and start today our search for these Central Registry forms.
