An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10 am - 12:45 pm. There were 37 children present with 6 staff in one building, and 24 with 5 staff in the second building. One class was on a field trip to the National Gallery. I observed children in the playground discovering and observing 2 butterfly chrysalis hanging from the playground shed and fence; and a large praying mantis hanging on a bush. I also saw children painting and pasting; dancing to "Turkey in the Straw" and involved in dress up and dramatic play. Parent teacher confererences were also done today.
