Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 8:20 - 10:15 am. There were 25 children present with 4 staff in two classrooms. I observed children learning about today's virtue of "trust," working with self-initiated Montessori projects; observing the fishtank where the fish left and "went on vacation,." and talking about tomorrow's Thanksgiving luncheon. School is decorated with examples of art and children's interpretations of famous artists. If you have any questions, please contact me at brenda.kuhlman@dss.virginia.gov

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Description: Based on observation during today's inspection, there were some indoor areas that were not maintained in an operable condition. Evidence: There were areas of peeling paint in the bathroom and above the sinks in the hallway, and plastic was observed covering wall areas that were damaged by a recent flood.

Plan of Correction: The last day of school is 12/20, and the repairs will be completed while school is closed by 1/4/19.
