Technical Assistance:
Discussed Training hours- set by the staff member's anniversary date. Also, discussed importance of maintaining current training documents in the files. Renewal application is now due- submitting the complete application now will allow the application to be processed on time. A delay in submitting may result in delaying the renewal of the license.

Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted. The classes, ratios, staffing, and supervision of children was observed. Staff were friendly and able to answer questions about the children. Attendance, evacuation plan, special care provisions, daily sheets were reviewed as well. Please call with questions 703-479-4679

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C
Description: Based on review of staff files, the center did not obtain results of TB Screenings before two years from the last date of screenings had occurred. Evidence: 1. Staff #1's file has a TB screening report dated April 26, 2015. 2. Staff #2's file has a TB Screening report dated March 9, 2016. 3. Staff #3's file has a TB Screening report dated January 20, 2015. 4. Staff #5's file has a TB Screening report dated January 29, 2015.

Plan of Correction: I will ensure all staff submit up to date TB Screening reports.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-70-A
Description: Based on review of staff files, the center did not keep complete records for staff #1, 2, 3, and 5. Evidence: 1. Review of 5 staff files and 4 did not include each staff member's job title.

Plan of Correction: We have been working on the files and will have them completed.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Description: Based on observation, parts of the inside area is not maintained in a clean and safe condition. Evidence: 1. In the front preschool room, the walls and baseboards have visible dirt stains. 2. Various door frames and window shelves show paint is chipped or peeling. Parts of the walls in the two's area also have signs of peeling paint.

Plan of Correction: We will continue to make changes to keep it up.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-A
Description: Based on record review and staff interviews, the center did not maintain center's policy of administering medication. Evidence; 1. Center has policy that prescription or over the counter medication may be administered. There is a child currently enrolled that may require emergency medication. 2. Review of staff training revealed completed MAT certification for current staff is no longer current. MAT certificates all have expired in the last four months.

Plan of Correction: We will enroll in the training and the one child with special care medication is leaving the center at the end of this week.
