Discussed new subsidy requirements.
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 10/29/2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 11:00am-2:30pm. There were 48 children (infants-4yrs.) directly supervised by 11 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 6 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, listening to stories, attending cooking class, making orange juice and fruit salad, coloring a flag, learning about maps, states, and countries, playing with play-doh, building with blocks and eating lunch. Today's lunch consisted of eggs, peas, carrots, brown rice, pears and milk. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Maria Soto at firstname.lastname@example.org or (571) 835-5058. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
