63.2 Facilities & Programs.
An unannounced monitoring visit was conducted today beginning at 1:30pm and ending at 4:00pm. The physical space, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, injury reports, medications, the Emergency Preparedness Plan, 7 children's records and staff records were reviewed. Ratios were in compliance and required documents were posted. The site was clean, organized and contained an abundant supply of developmentally appropriate materials. The children were observed eating snack, group time, playing games, reading and working on art projects. Interactions between the children and staff were positive. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, one of seven children's files did not have complete information. Evidence: 1. Child #2's file was missing both parent's work phone number. Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent's for the information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-E Description: Based on record review, the center failed to maintain a record of the dates of the practice drills for one year. Evidence: 1. The center did not maintain a record of the practice drill completed in February 2018. The supervisor had documentation of practice drills for all months, except for the month of February 2018 and stated the drill had been completed. Plan of Correction: I will make sure to keep a copy of the last 12 months of practice drills in the future.
