An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:00am-12:30pm. There were 60 children (infants-5yrs.) supervised by 13 direct care staff. The physical plant, programming, staff records, children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing outside, and dancing. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-320-B Description: Based on observation, running water temperature exceeded 120 degrees. Evidence: Running water from the faucet in the 4's room read temperature of 130.1 Plan of Correction: Plumber was called and corrected during inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-440-B Description: Based on review, not all cots are labeled for individual use by a specific child. Evidence: Cots in the 2's room cots were not labeled for use by a specific child. Plan of Correction: Cots will be labeled for individual use today.
