An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director beginning at 6:40 AM and ending at 8:00 AM. There were 13 children in the care of two staff members during the inspection. The children's ages ranged between 5 and 12 years old. The children were observed creating mazes and working with miniature robots. Ten children's records and two staff records were reviewed and in compliance. Four medications were reviewed and in compliance. The outdoor recreation area was not reviewed due to the weather conditions. The emergency escape drill log was reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather-band radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent fire inspection was dated 6/23/17. The most recent health inspection was dated 6/6/18. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-A Description: Based on a review of documentation and staff interview, the center did not have an annual fire inspection report from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction. Evidence: The most recent fire inspection was dated 6/23/17. Plan of Correction: The director followed up with the school personal during the inspection regarding the fire inspection. The director stated that she has maintained regular contact with the school personnel regarding the completion of a fire inspection. The director was notified that a fire inspection was scheduled previously but the inspection was not completed on the scheduled date.
