A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was completed on December 13, 2018 from approximately 11:45a.m. to 1:45p.m. to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Ninety children were in care during the inspection. Staff and children, ages infant to four years old, were observed in nine classrooms with adequate staff ratios. Children and staff were observed engaging in activities to include lunch time, nap time, diapering and toileting. Children?s equipment, learning materials, inside and classroom space, restrooms, and the first aid and emergency supplies were inspected. Ten children?s records, ten staff records, annual fire and health inspections, fire drill, shelter in place and lock down drill logs, daily health observation and medication administration certifications, injury reports, daily attendance, the emergency preparedness and response plan, medication authorizations and logs and required postings were reviewed. The Director was available for interview and the inspection and was present at the exit interview at which time inspection findings were reviewed and an Acknowledgement of Inspection form was signed and left with the licensee. There were no citations for violations of the Standards.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
