An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 2:20pm-3:40pm. There were 36 school age children directly supervised by 3 staff. The physical plant, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Staff files were reviewed on an earlier date through the County of Loudoun, Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services main office located in Ashburn, Virginia. Children were observed arriving to the program, washing hands, eating snack, doing homework, art, and playing table games. The cafeteria was found to be clean, safeguarded appropriately, and adequately supplied with equipment and supplies. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-510-G Description: Based on review of medications, prescription medication was not maintained in the original, labeled container. Evidence: The prescription medication for child A was in the original container but without a prescription label attached. The prescription medication for Child B was not maintained in the original container. Plan of Correction: We will ask the parents to bring the original box and label.
