An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted this date. A total of 20 children with 5 staff present today. Walk thru of the entire center was conducted. Observation of morning programming was made. The younger children's class were having gross motor play in the large gym. Mats and equipment available for the children to jump and play with. The older class was observed in circle time. Teachers were spaced strategically between children to ensure proper supervision and to encourage participation. Children were enjoying picking out shapes of color and naming the color in spanish. They counted to the total of each color in spanish. A nice transition was observed from this activity to dancing and singing in spanish. No medications at this time and only one topical ointment on site. A total of 5 staff and 5 children's records were reviewed. The center was equipped with ample supplies and equipment age appropriate for the children currently in care. This inspection began at 10:30am and ended at 1:25pm. Thank you for your cooperation today. Please email me at: lisa.hudson@dss.virginia.gov
