The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection from 9:45am - 12:00pm. There were ten children in care with three staff. The children were observed at free play and during lunch. Five staff's records and five children's records were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-C Description: Based on record reviews, the center failed to have staff obtain 16 hours of annual training. Evidence: 1. The inspector reviewed five staff's records. One of five records reviewed (staff record #3) did not contain documentation of 16 hours of annual training. Staff record #3 contain documentation of 7 1/2 hours of annual training. Plan of Correction: Staff #3 will obtain additional training hours during her annual training period to make up for the missing hours. The director has spoken with staff about the required documentation when completing training.
