Discussed health protocols, and ID verification procedures, and Renewal Licensing process.

An unannounced mandated Renewal inspection was conducted today from 9:45am to 12:00 pm. There were 83 children present and 16 staff. Children were observed having snack, playing outside on the playground, painting blue snowflakes, playing house, reading books, acting out a story with masks, and learning about hibernation. Reviewed 2 children's files, 3 staff files, emergency evacuation log and procedures, attendance, medications and authorizations, menu, and physical plant. Violations of the Standards were recorded on the Violation Notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, equipment is not maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: The metal divider walls in the boys bathroom have visible rust, are pitted and have peeling paint accessible to children, which is a hazard. Plan of Correction: I will inform the church, who will inform the maintenance crew to scrape and re-paint.
