Licensing inspector arrived at 1:20 pm and departed at 2:56 pm to conduct a licensing inspection and a Subsidy Health and Safety inspection. At the time of the tour there were 58 children in care with 10 staff . Additional staff arrived during the inspection. Children were observed napping and tummy time. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 5 staff records. Areas of non-compliance was reviewed with the director.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, the licensee areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, will be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on January 24, 2019, there was multiple areas with paint peeling in the building. In the bathroom there was visible rust in the bathroom when touched a red residue was visible on a paper towel . Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-440-B Description: Based on observation , the licensee did not ensure cots, rest mats, and beds shall be identified for use by a specific child. Evidence: During the inspection conducted on January 24, 2019, there was two cots in the infant room not labeled with children's name. Plan of Correction: Not available online.
