Comments:
Thank you for your time and assistance with the unannounced monitoring inspection conducted today, February 12, 2019. The on-site inspection was conducted from 10:45 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. At the time of arrival there were 57 children in six classrooms and in the care of nine staff members with three staff members available to assist if needed. Total enrollment for the program was 113 children. All six classrooms were toured and observations were completed in three of those rooms. The records for seven staff members were reviewed, and six children's records were reviewed. There were eight staff members and four children interviewed. The medication and medication paperwork were reviewed for three children. There were no violations of the licensing standards observed. Lunch was observed to meet the USDA guidelines and consisted of beef crumbles, tomato sauce, pasta, broccoli, peaches, and milk. The current theme was "I Love You." Some items observed and reviewed were: required posted information, injury reports, diaper ointments along with parent authorizations, emergency, lockdown, and shelter-in-place drills, water temperature, updated emergency preparedness plan, outdoor play area, infant care, infant feeding, diapering procedures, hand washing and bathroom procedures, nap time, lunch, arrival of school-age children, and dismissal procedures.
