Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 12:10pm to 1:10pm. 21 children were directly supervised by 8 staff members. An additional new staff member was shadowing the teachers (required paper work was on file). The physical space, evacuation drills, 3 children's records, 3 staff records, the menu, attendance records and required posted documents were reviewed. No medications were on site. Cribs, infant bottles, diaper changing areas and documentation for parents (regarding diapering, feedings and tummy time) were inspected and observed. The space was well organized and contained an abundance of developmentally appropriate materials. Children were observed finishing with lunch and preparing for rest time. Interactions between staff and children were positive. No violations were cited today. For questions regarding this inspection, please contact stephanie.salvatori@dss.virginia.gov.
