Today an unannounced renewal study was conducted beginning at 2:05pm and ended at 3:45pm. There were 56 children present today with 4 staff. Children were observed arriving from school, washing their hands, eating snack (Scooby graham crackers) playing table games (Uno, legs, coloring) and working on homework. There are currently 9 medications on site; all medications and authorizations were reviewed. Children?s records, medications and emergency drills were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-C Description: Based on observation and interview, the center's first aid kit did not contain all required items. Evidence: The center does not have a working battery operated radio. Plan of Correction: I will submit a supply request to my supervisor.
