Licensing inspector discussed posting requirements for violation notice and inspection summary.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from approximately 8:50am-10:40am. There were 20 children in the direct care and supervision of 2 staff. A sample of 5 children?s records, 2 staff records and 2 medications were reviewed. The children were observed coloring, taking photos, eating breakfast, being dropped off by parents, and reading. Today the center began a week long celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday. A parent of a child in care also read a book to the children. Zero new staff have been hired since the last inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-250-C Description: Based on observation, the center did not post a notice regarding the presence of asbestos. Evidence: The center was built before 1978 and a notice regarding the location of asbestos was not posted. Plan of Correction: Staff A obtained the notice from the church administration at the time of inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-260-C Description: Based on observation, the notice regarding the presence and location of asbestos containing materials and advising that the asbestos inspection report and management plan are available for review was not posted. Evidence: There was not asbestos management plan posted at the time of inspection. Plan of Correction: Staff A obtained the asbestos management plan from the church administration at the time of inspection.
