Technical assistance was provided regarding the details required for the daily sheets.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:00am-12:30pm. There were 50 children supervised by 11 direct care staff. The physical plant, staff records, children?s records, programming and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing outside, and eating snack. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundance of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-240-A
Description: Based on review of 5 staff records, 1 staff did not have documentation of completing a recognizing child abuse/neglect. Evidence: Staff #1, start date 1/19, does not have documentation of completing a recognizing child abuse/neglect training.

Plan of Correction: I will make sure she completes it.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-420-E-1
Description: Based on observation and discussion with staff, the center does not post a daily record for each infant of their daily activities. Evidence: No daily reports were available for review at time of inspection.

Plan of Correction: Staff stated they document the information mid day for all children, but will begin immediately to document information as it occurs.

Description: Based on observation, not all rest rooms are equipped with towels to dry hands. Evidence: Rest room in hallway do not have any paper towels.

Description: Based on observation, 1 over the counter skin cream was not labeled for individual use. Evidence: Diaper cream in the toddler bathroom, was not labeled for an individual child.
