A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 3/14/19 from 12:25pm until 2:45pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of the tour, there were 55 children in care with 10 staff present. A sample of 6 children's records and 6 staff records were reviewed. Children were observed resting quietly during nap time and engaging in free play. Infant diapering, toileting and hand washing procedures were also observed. Medication, the emergency preparedness plan, first aid and emergency supplies, documentation of emergency practice drills and children's injury reports were reviewed. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
