63.2 Facilities & Programs.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 3/14/19 from 12:25pm until 2:45pm. At the time of the tour, there were 55 children in care with 10 staff present. A sample of 6 children's records and 6 staff records were reviewed. Children were observed resting quietly during nap time and engaging in free play. Infant diapering, toileting and hand washing procedures were also observed. Medication, the emergency preparedness plan, first aid and emergency supplies, documentation of emergency practice drills, children's injury reports and center postings were reviewed. One violation in the area of administration is identified on the violation notice and was discussed with the center director during the exit interview.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on record review and interview, the center did not ensure that at least every two years from the date of the first initial screening or testing, staff members shall obtain and submit the results of follow-up tuberculosis screening. Evidence: 1. The most recent tuberculosis screening for staff 1 is dated 2/10/17. An updated tuberculosis screening for staff 1 was due in February 2019. 2. The center director confirmed that the most recent tuberculosis screening for staff 1 is expired. Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: This was corrected on 3/14/2019 and is in compliance. Going forward management will update spreadsheet monthly to ensure continued compliance.
