Technical Assistance:
Technical Assistance was offered on expanding the group size policies and procedures written by the center.

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 3/19/19 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 31 children present with 7 staff members. The children were observed playing with the sensory tables, painting, and eating lunch. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-540-A
Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain a Tuberculosis (TB) screening within 30 calendar days of the date of employment and prior to the staff person coming in contact with the children. Evidence: Staff # 1 was hired on 1/7/19. Staff #1's TB screening was dated 1/25/19.

Plan of Correction: We will be sure to obtain TB screenings for new staff within the required time frame.
