Licensing inspector arrived at 6:02am and departed at 7:45am to conduct a Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection. There were 12 school age children present with two staff members. The children were observed arriving to the program, playing with a variety of table top activities, having breakfast which they brought from home and interacting with staff and each other. The posted menu indicated that the evening snack would be fig bars and applesauce. Five children's records were reviewed during this inspection. Staff indicated that there was no medication at the center. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-650-E Description: Based on inspection of the facility, the vendor did not develop and implement a written policy and procedure that describes how the vendor will ensure that each group of children receives care by consistent staff or team of staff members. Evidence: There was not a written consistent care policy for the center. Plan of Correction: The care policy will be written and it will be kept on site.
Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-5 Description: Based on inspection of the facility, the vendor did not update the emergency preparedness plan to include continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Evidence: The center's emergency preparedness plan did not include continuity of operations procedures. Plan of Correction: A plan will be created and available for review.
