Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed today 3/19/2019. There were 34 children in care on the day of the inspection with seven staff. Five children's and five staff's records reviewed during the inspection. A physical plant walk through was completed, and observations of the children. The inspector arrived at 8:20 am and departed the program at 12:30 pm. Observation of the children during: circle time, free play, lunch and nap.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-210-A
Description: Based on review of five children's records, the center failed to ensure that all program leaders had the required program leader qualifications. Evidence: 1. Staff person # 3 was promoted to a program lead on 1/11/2019. The staff person did not have her GED until 3/14/2019. The position requires high school diploma or equivalent.

Plan of Correction: In the future the director owner will ensure that all program leads have all required paper work prior to being promoted to the position.
