A monitoring inspection was conducted with both directors and one owner . There were 99 children in care and the age range was four months to nine years old. Children were observed during free play, outside time and lunch. Four staff are current in MAT. All required paper work was posted. The fire and health inspections are current. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on review of eight children's records not all were complete. Evidence: Child A with a start date of 10/15/18 did not have documentation of either parents street address for work and did not have work phone for father. Child B did not have documentation of either parents work information. Plan of Correction: We will ask the parents for the missing information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation not all hazardous substances were kept in a locked place. Evidence: In Room 6 and 7 did not keep bleach water in a locked cabinet, Room 3 had Borax stored in a unlocked cabinet. Plan of Correction: Remind all hazardous substances in a locked area,
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B Description: Based on observation not all staff are cleaning and sanitizing the diaper changing surface. Evidence: In rooms 1 and 5 the staff did not clean the diapering surface before using sanitizer. Plan of Correction: We will remind staff to clean and sanitize the diaper changing pads.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-C Description: Based on review not all required supplies were in the first aid kit. Evidence: The was one triangular bandage missing from the first aid kit. Plan of Correction: We will buy another triangular bandage.
