Discussed area rugs and annual updates for children's records.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:30 am-11:30 am. 46 children were in care with 10 staff members present. Children were observed during circle time, signing educational songs, learning about the alphabet, using the bathroom and playing outside. 5 staff and 5 children's records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-130-B
Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain additional immunization every six months records for children under the age of two. Evidence: Child # 1's record had most recent immunization records dated 11/2017. Additional immunization records were not obtained after 6 months.

Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent to bring in a copy of the most recent shot records.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-430-B
Description: Based on observation, equipment used by children was not age and stage appropriate. Evidence: 1. Three children under the age of 2 years from the Infant 2 classroom were observed playing on outdoor equipment that was designed for children ages 2- 5 years old.

Plan of Correction: The infant 2 teacher removed the children from the equipment during the inspection. Children under 2 years of age will not be playing on that equipment.
