Technical Assistance:
Many of the child proof drawer closures are not working in the classrooms and may need consideration to adjust or replace them in order to allow adequate storage of items which may not be accessible to children. Staff had taken the needed precautions during the inspection today.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 3/26/19 from 10:50 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. At the time of entrance the following adult to child ratios were observed: Classroom A - 16 children with 2 staff Classroom B - 15 children with 2 staff Classroom C - 17 children with 2 staff Classroom D - 14 children with 2 staff Classroom E - 17 children with 2 staff Classroom F - 16 children with 2 staff The records sample size consisted of 10 children?s records. Staff records are housed off site and were recently reviewed at a separate inspection. Children were observed engaged in learning centers, meeting at circle time, being read to from children's literature, dancing and moving to music, eating lunch which consisted of Beef Stew, Pinrapple, Asparagus Spears. Pineapple Bits, Bread Sticks and milk, and resting quietly on cots at nap time. Restroom procedures, hand washing, table sanitizing and food service were observed. Medication administration was not observed during today's inspection. However, a sampling of 5 medications kept on site for emergency use were reviewed with regard to storage, labeling, written authorization and required documentation.
