An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Monday, April 22, 2019 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The inspector arrived at 10:00 am and concluded the inspection at 2:00 pm. The center?s director and assistant director assisted the inspector throughout this inspection. The census for today?s inspection consisted of 93 children. During the inspection, children and staff were observed participating in a variety of activities. One group of children was observed during circle time learning how to fold clothes. Three groups of children were observed outside climbing on the jungle gyms and exploring the playground with magnifying glasses. The classrooms are decorated with the children's artwork and are equipped with age and stage appropriate materials. All areas of the center including the classrooms, hallways, kitchen, bathrooms, and playgrounds were inspected. The center had the following posted: license, daily schedule, emergency numbers, evacuation maps, menu and various parent information. Transportation is provided and was inspected today. The center?s first aid kit and non-emergency supplies were inspected. Ten children records, seven staff records, daily health observation and medication administration certifications, injury reports, and fire drill, shelter in place and lockdown drill logs were reviewed during today's inspection. Medication is being administered and was reviewed. One violation was cited and is documented on the violation notice. Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. You will need to specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Just writing the word ?corrected? is not acceptable. Your plan of correction must contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventative measures.
