Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted on Monday, April 22, to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 10:00AM and concluded the inspection at 2:00PM. The center's director and assistant director assisted the inspector throughout this inspection. The census for today's inspection consisted of 93 children. During the inspection, children and staff were observed participating in a variety of activities. The classrooms are decorated with the children's artwork and are equipped with age and stage appropriate materials. All areas of the center including the classrooms, hallways, kitchen, bathrooms, and playground were inspected. The center's first aid supplies and non-emergency were inspected. Transportation is provided and was inspected today. Ten children's records, seven staff records, daily health observation and medication administration certifications, injury reports and fire drill, shelter in place and lockdown drill logs were reviewed. Medication is being administered and was reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection: the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the licensing inspector, Heather Dapper (804) 662-7014
