An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 7:15 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. There were 31 children in care being supervised by 2 staff members. The children were observed participating in structured center play. Eight children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Staff training was reviewed for completion of CPR, First Aid, Daily Health Observation, and MAT (Medication Administration Training). There are reportedly no medications being administered to children in the program at this time. The most recent emergency escape drill was conducted 04/24/2019 and the most recent shelter in place drill was conducted 02/12/2019. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation of the program it was determined that not all equipment of the center was maintained in safe condition. Evidence: Three storage containers to include the large wooden block storage bin, the clear connector manipulative bin, and the orange transportation bin were observed to be cracked with sharp edges exposed. Plan of Correction: Administration will replace all storage bins that are cracked with sharp edges exposed.
