A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 5/15/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. n unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:30am-2:30pm. There were 49 children (infants-5yrs.) directly supervised by 9 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, napping, playing outside, and eating lunch. Today's lunch consisted of fish nuggets, white rice, corn, oranges and milk. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the Violation Notice. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-5 Description: Based on record review, the center's emergency response plan did not address continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. Evidence: The emergency response plan did not include procedures for the continuity of operations to ensure that essential fuctions are maintained during an emergency. Plan of Correction: We will add the information to the emergency response plan binder.
