Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on May 30, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on-site visit was conducted from 11:00 a.m. through1:15 p.m. There were one-hundred children in the care of sixteen staff. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for two children. Ten children's and ten staff records were reviewed and updated. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Areas observed were: outside play, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, circle time, art activities, educational centers, transition, lunch and nap. Interactions between the children and staff were observed as appropriate and the children seem comfortable with the daily routine and schedule. Please contact me at 540-430-9256 if you have any questions and/or if I may be of assistance with licensing standards.
