An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the center director beginning at 9:10 AM and ending at 12:30 PM. There were 98 children, ages five months through five years old, in care during the inspection. Two infants were observed sleeping in the crib. Two two infants were observed in activities chairs. The older children were observed singing, dancing to music, playing outside, and doing art. Ten children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Five staff records were reviewed and in compliance. Seven medications were reviewed and in compliance. The emergency drill log was reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather-band radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent health inspection was dated 7/19/18. The most recent fire inspection was dated 11/2/18.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-80-A Description: Based on a review of documentation and staff interview, the center did not ensure that all children were included on the written attendance record. Evidence: There were eight children present in the infant B classroom but six children marked present on the attendance sheet. Plan of Correction: The written attendance was corrected during the inspection. The staff will receive re-training on updating the written attendance as children arrive.
