An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director beginning at 8:45 AM and ending at 11:13 AM. There were seventy-eight children, ages five through eleven years old, in care during the inspection. The kindergarten classes were observed preparing to leave on a field trip for the day. The other classes were observed during instructional time. Ten children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Five staff records were reviewed and in compliance. Ten medications were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather-band radio were observed and in compliance. The most recent emergency evacuation drill was documented as April 5, 2019. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as May 23, 2019. The most recent health inspection was dated March 13, 2019. The most recent fire inspection was dated December 11, 2018. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center did not have all hazardous substances such as cleaning materials in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: There was a container of Lysol cleaning wipes on the computer cart in the computer classroom accessible to children. Plan of Correction: Not available online.
