Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 6/6/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspection began at 7:45 am and concluded at 12:30 There were 35 children present with six staff members during the inspection. During the inspection the entire physical plant was viewed, arrival, infant care was observed, end of lunch time was observed, emergency supplies were viewed, nap time was observed, and some policies and procedures were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.

Description: Based on review of five children's records, the center failed to ensure that each child with a diagnosed food allergy had a written allergy care plan that included the instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Evidence: 1. Child # 4 has a diagnosed food allergy by the child's physician and did not have an allergy care plan on the day of the inspection.

Plan of Correction: The director thinks the child is no longer allergic to milk. The parent will have the doctor to state that the child is no longer allergic to milk.
