A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on June 6, 2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Upon arrival at 1:00 PM there were a total of thirty-five (35) pre-school children ages 2-5 years old present under the direct care & supervision of seven (7) caregivers. Children and staff records were reviewed during today?s inspection. Record review included children medication records. Licensing Inspector observed children during bathroom/hand washing procedures, designated rest time, afternoon snack, group activities and self-initiated activities. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Licensing Inspector conducted an exit interview along with reviewing the Risk Assessment and the areas of non-compliance with the Center Director on June 6, 2019 The Licensing Inspector for YMCA Early Learning Center can be reached directly at (540) 309-2310 should you have any questions or concerns.

Standard #: 22VAC40-665-770-B-5 Description: Based on inspection, the Vendor failed to have continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency. EVIDENCE: The Center's Emergency Preparedness Plan did not include continuity of operations procedures. Plan of Correction: Administration will develop plan for continuity of operations. Written policy/procedures will be added to the current emergency preparedness .
